Equissentials full seat riding breeches are the perfect combination of absolute comfort and durability. The French Terry we use has 120% 4-way stretch, and the Deerskin leather actually becomes softer with wear. The visual lines are designed to be flattering on every body type. Equissentials leather is hand cut and sewn in a fashion that contours the hip area, rather than being rounded through the seat. The contact with the saddle provides the feeling of complete "oneness" with your horse. Equissentials full seats are very popular with Dressage, Endurance, Trail Riding, and schooling riders. When you slip on a pair of these Deerskin Seats you’ll immediately know that they’re like no other riding clothes you’ve ever worn. You can bend, twist, kneel and crouch in any direction. You’ll sense absolutely no restriction and the breech will stay perfectly set at the waist. Ever feel that before? In a breech with a leather seat? All seams are out of the way of any pressure points and create a long, clean and flattering line. The natural French Terry fabric is made to the designer’s specs and features 120% stretch in all directions, so they fit - even after holiday binging! The knit is tight and smooth on the outside with luscious French Terry loops on the inside and it’s preshrunk, so it’ll fit the same next week as today. The exquisitely soft and supple Deerskin is hand selected and loves to be washed. It conforms to your natural curves, no matter what your body type, and stretches with the fabric, allowing you to mount and ride with ease. Nor will you need to readjust your breeches once you’re on board. The Deerskin seat is so durable that the manufacturer recycles these seats onto new fabric, at a reduced cost, thereby increasing the life of what will surely become your favorite riding togs. All Equissentials riding pants are slip-ons with no buckles,belt loops,or zippers. (They are available at an additional cost). There is one joining seam that is offset to the front of the hip area and curves gently to the outside of the knee. This curve continues through the calf, accentuating the muscle. There is no seaming on pressure points or in contact with the saddle, ensuring absolute riding comfort. Visually, the seaming creates a narrowing look through the waist and upper thigh area, as there is no focus drawn to the outside of the hip. The waistband is a wide 2.5 inch band made of the same fabric as the pant. In all of our leather breeches, there is an additional piece of lycra sewn into the band to ensure it will not stretch out or slip down over the life of the pant. The support is evenly distributed throughout the width of the band, eliminating any feeling of constriction through the midsection. The pant is finished to the anklebone, where it remains, whether wearing tall or short boots. The French Terry fabric is a dense knit of 88% cotton and 12% Lycra^TM and has 120% stretch in all directions. This allows complete Freedom of Motion - the ability to move in any direction - letting you mount your horse or squat to the floor with ease and no binding, bunching or slipping. The outside of our French Terry fabric is densely knit. The inside has a soft 'chamois feel' - with tiny loops that wick away sweat in the summer and insulate in the winter. The feeling next to the skin is so luxurious! You won't believe how comfortable they are. EquiCool Available in Black, Tan, and, Navy. Finally, a fabric that is strong, non-pilling, has 4-way stretch, superior moisture-wicking ability and is light enough to wear in the Summer! Comprised of 94% cotton and 6% Lycra^TM it offers a comfortable solution to those of you who ride in extreme heat and/or humidity. Not available in GripBums or GripKnees. Power Tricot Available in Black. Introduced in the Spring of 2004, the Power Tricot is the latest addition to our fabric selections. Developed for the Parelli organization, this high tech fabric is constructed of 87% nylon and 13% Lycra^TM, and has a “slightly glossy” finish. Customers have stated that it wears like iron but still maintains all the support and comfort of our other fabrics. The powerful wicking properties will leave you cool and dry in the warmest climates. Not available in GripBums or GripKnees. Moleskin Available in Chocolate Moleskin is a High Tech fabric of 86% nylon and 14% Lycra^TM. It is slightly heavier than our popular Power Tricot, offering more support, snag resistance and the moisture wicking properties so necessary in the warmer weather. Riders in more temperate climates will find this fabric suitable for all but the coldest temperatures. Not available in GripBums or GripKnees. Available in Chocolate ONLY. Polartec^TM Available in Black. Polartec^TM fabric (Made exclusively by Malden Mills, Lawrence, MA) has a tight nylon knit outer that repels winters worst, including snow, sleet, and those bitter winds. As an additional bonus, it also repels your barns’ worst, including hay and shavings. The inside is fleece which feels incredible against your skin. Sandwiched between the fleece and nylon outer skin is a special membrane making this fabric windproof. This fabric creates delicious warmth while still offering the flexibility lost in the multiple layering system. It has been tested down to -20°F!
